My Family And I absolutely love having dinner here! It’s just like eating in Italy! Simone and Elizabeth make you feel like long time friends and always know what your favorite dish is! The Fortville Pizza is fabulous and I absolutely love the Tortellini Cortona!!! The Photos are Scallop special and their bolognese! ALSO FABULOUS!
We were able to reserve on Opentable seats at the bar which was fantastic because it was a busy Saturday night. I will say the meatballs were my favorite item but my husband loved the plantains the best. We both love trying new locations and very happy to found this one. They were fast with each course and plated perfectly.The owner was extremely kind, he would greet everyone with a smile and you can tell he truly is enjoying his career. Highly recommend
Cortona’s is one of the best restaurants in the Indy area. The food is fantastic - we’ve tried several dishes on the menu and have loved every single thing ordered. You absolutely have to get dessert too. We always take out of town guests here and they are always impressed with the food, drinks, service and atmosphere. It’s the go-to place for excellent and authentic Italian food.
I had an amazing 1 year anniversary with the best food and best ownership, Simoné and Beth are an adorable couple who made the night memorable and it’s only been a couple hours but we’ve told everybody we’ve passed, thank you so much!
I’ve heard of Cortonas from family friend that highly recommend. I was impressed of a such authentic and genuine cuisine , it’s a very good addition for Geist and Indianapolis area, very hurt to find an authentic Italian restaurant in the all metropolitan area! Simone and his wife are making an amazing job and the staff is very professional and helpful. Very nice wine list and beautiful atmosphere!! The meat dishes are outstanding!! Cortonas is a little taste of Italy in Fortville, the food is amazing, especially the fresh made cheese wheel. The service and taste is superb with no one near to competition for this gem! Make sure to taste your own piece of Italy right here in Fortville.
AMAZINGLY well cooked dishes. Wonderful prices. Positive and welcoming atmosphere. This place is a must try!!! The food is full of flavor, the drinks are strong & it is worth every penny! Staff was also kind, attentive but not to overbearing. I would 110% recommend this to all Italian cuisine lovers. 1000% BETTER THAN OLIVE GARDEN
Just had the 8 oz Filet and it was out of this world! Great service with friendly staff! Prices are reasonable and the food is phenomenal!
Absolutely delicious food, cocktails, impeccable service, and wonderful atmosphere! My husband and I went here this evening and started with the Barata salad and the muscles/clams appetizer. We got some bread to soak up the delicious wine broth that comes with the muscles and clams. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The prosciutto with the salad was spot on and not over salty. For dinner, we had the Portabella mushroom ravioli, and gnocchi Primavera. I personally enjoy having a little bit of sauce with my pasta dishes, so I had a side of sauce add it on for the gnocchi. Each dish was delicious as made, but the sauce certainly enhance the flavoring with the smokiness from the prosciutto. We then ended the evening with two desserts, one being the mascarpone lemon cake and the other was the cannoli cake. I've never had a cannoli taste as good as this cake did. We were then very much intrigued by the cheese wheel dish [not on menu]. So, we ended up having to get that as a take-home for our children (or us).
We came for the cheese wheel pasta. The cheese was Pecorino from Italy, the pasta was freshly made. Dish was delicious. Not pictured we had the Bruschetta with 4 different types, tomato and basil, red peppers and goat cheese, pear and Gorgonzola, prosciutto and shaved Parmesan. They were all delicious. We also had the calamari that was good. With each cheese wheel pasta you had a choice of proteins. My favorite was the sausage. Our server was very knowledgeable and quick to our table. Thursdays wine bottles are 1/2 price !! The main road is under construction causing it to be tricky to get to, but it's in a cute area of restaurants and bars. Nice place to visit out of the city.
